Described as a fresh and daring scent, the fragrance opens with top notes of bergamot and guaiac wood, blending with a heart of vetiver, cedar and Sichuan pepper, rounded off with a smooth base of cacao and amber. Diamonds is a refined fragrance for the young urban man and it is suitable for evening wear. Giorgio Armani was an Italian fashion designer particularly noted for his menswear. In 1975 he presented his first collection of menswear followed later that year by as range for women. The Armani brand expanded through the early 80s offering a variety of collections and ranges from clothing through to accessories.
